While a great deal of literature exists on performance assessment and performance management in general, the particular issues related to missionary evaluation have scarcely been addressed. A small study consisting of interviews with eight missionaries revealed a number of issues that deserve further attention. This article summarizes the results of the study, which consisted of questions relating to the evaluators and the purposes, content, and means of evaluation. Some tentative conclusions indicating possible directions for further study are also outlined. | ||
