Description
Summary:Despite its infamous profile of immorality and perceived secular attitudes, Hip Hop provides context, meaning, and a spiritual modus for young people. This article describes the socioeconomic conditions which gave rise to Hip Hop and provides two examples of its religious and spiritual discourse. These illustrate how Hip Hop produces a relevant, transparent, and contextual form of theology that it is imperative for mission to engage.
