Summary: | This article was originally presented as the first of three messages on the “Mission Spirituality of Jesus” at the 2011 ASM conference. Out of the overflow of Jesus' intimate relationship with the Father, he purposefully listened to the Father and discerningly carried out the Father's business in the world. Jesus' modeling his mission spirituality in John 13 encourages us to realign and rethink our own mission spirituality. We need to rediscover intimacy with God by reaffirming our identity as his children, our stewardship to him for everything in our lives, our life purpose of servant leadership, and our destiny to reign with Jesus in eternity. |
