Focal point is the blending of biographical aspects, the author’s cultural background, and the development of his hermeneutics in the Thirties, when the outlines of the theoretic basis of Eliade’s historical/religious design were maturing. In this genealogic reconstruction, the segments of the passage from a «futuristic» vision of history to a more resigned one, tied to Romania’s negative political evolution from 1938 onward, are emphasized. |
