The first one deals with Adolf von Harnack (1851-1930), whose epochal writings (especially Marcion. Das Evangelium vom fremden Gott, 1924) are of primary cultural importance and go well beyond church historiography and the critical reassessment and systemizing of historical sources. The second part deals with the fortunes of «Marcionism» in German theological-philosophical thought and writings. |
