| Summary: | This paper investigates the relationship between theology and postmodernity It chiefly focuses on Italy and examines three authors. It mainly considers ecclesiological problems related to the challenges posed by the different postmodern trends and attempts to offer some conclusive guidelines capable of opening a pathway towards a less negative and more propositional interpretation of postmodernity. Not only do postmodern philosophical thinking and practice seem to be up for debate, but also the quality itself of the – theoretical and practical – ecclesiastical response to such thinking. |
