| Summary: | This paper analyses the impact of the construction of a religious space by three different religious communities in Fisksätra, south-east suburb of Stockholm: the Protestant Church, together with Catholic and Muslim communities, have decided to build a Mosque behind a pre-existing church owned by the Protestants. This construc-tion should help to establish a religious tolerance dialogue. How will this new Mosque be constructed? What are the settings and context of such a place? By using both bibliographic research and participant observation, I focus on Muslims in Sweden and study the ideas of how to practice Islam in Stockholm and in Sweden in general. This project is relevant as it can be used as a possible solution for Islam in Sweden. This is because several very different communities cohabit in one physical location and have to find a common solution in order to be able to practice their religion. |
