Pseudo-Gregory and Purgatory

The Catholic teaching about purgatory rests in part on the authority of the Dialogues attributed to Gregory the Great. It is difficult, however, to accept that the author of Gregory's Moralia also wrote the Dialogues. Perhaps, given current practices, the doctrine is due for reconsideration.
