Description
Résumé:This article deals with spiritual paternity, following documents and studies on desert monks. Spiritual fatherhood is not only a matter for men, priests and religious, nor is it a matter of age. To be a “father” or “mother” in the spirit requires two charisms: discernment of spirits or discretion, and the ability to convey this in words. The gift of spiritual paternity is received through humility, while opening oneself inwardly to someone who is already a spiritual father or mother. The Argentinean author was the spiritual father of Jorge Mario Bergoglio.
