Description
Summary:In recent years, the interest of the European Catholic world in popular religiosity has been reawakened. Much of this process has taken place during the pontificate of Pope Francis. In addition, the subject had been dealt with in the documents of CELAM and in the Argentine “theology of the people.” The article stresses the need for us, as Europeans, to question ourselves about the characteristics and conditioning of our popular religiosity. Only in this way will we be able to understand the Spirit of God that vibrates within popular religiosity and to elaborate a theological thought that illuminates pastoral activity.
