| Summary: | The ecclesial aggiornament intended by the Second Vatican Council deepens the church’s self-awareness in being a servant of humanity. This new posture allows the Church to approach and dialogue with contemporary society. The present research intends to approach, briefly, the conciliar and post-conciliar impulse in the relationship between the church magisterium and the natural sciences. For this, the pre-conciliar scenario is covered based on some official pronouncements of the ecclesial magisterium, which reflect a paradoxical posture of distrust and openness. Then, the focus is the Second Vatican Council, especially Gaudium et Spes, which recognizes the autonomy of earthly realities as a paradigm of the relationship between the church’s magisterium and the natural sciences. Finally, some post-conciliar magisterial texts up to the present are analyzed. El aggiornamento eclesial propuesto por el Concilio Vaticano II profundiza la autoconciencia de la Iglesia como servidora de la humanidad. Esta nueva postura permite a la Iglesia acercarse y dialogar con la sociedad contemporánea. La presente investigación pretende abordar brevemente el impulso conciliar y posconciliar en la relación entre el magisterio de la iglesia y las ciencias naturales. Para ello, viaja por el escenario preconciliar de algunos pronunciamientos oficiales del magisterio eclesial, que reflejan una postura paradójica de desconfianza y apertura. Luego, el foco es el Concilio Vaticano II, especialmente Gaudium et Spes, que reconoce la autonomía de las realidades terrenas como paradigma de la relación entre el magisterio de la iglesia y las ciencias naturales. Finalmente, se analizan algunos textos magisteriales posconciliares hasta la actualidad. O aggiornamento eclesial intencionado pelo Concílio Vaticano II aprofunda a autoconsciência da Igreja em ser serva da humanidade. Essa nova postura propicia que a igreja se aproxime e dialogue com a sociedade contemporânea. A presente pesquisa pretende abordar, brevemente, o impulso conciliar e pós-conciliar na relação entre o magistério da Igreja e as ciências naturais. Para isso, percorre o cenário pré-conciliar a partir de alguns pronunciamentos oficiais do magistério eclesial, os quais refletem uma postura paradoxal de desconfiança e abertura. Em seguida, o foco é o Concílio Vaticano II, especialmente a Gaudium et Spes que reconhece a autonomia das realidades terrenas como paradigma da relação entre o magistério eclesial e as ciências naturais. Por fim, são analisados alguns textos magisteriais pós-conciliares até o presente. |
