Description
Summary:The city is a sanctuary of the living God. To avoid the sadness of the rich man who questions Jesus (cf. Mk 10:22), I must ask that “[…]my tongue cleave to the roof of my mouth, If I remember thee not; If I prefer not Jerusalem Above my chief joy” (cf. Ps 137:6). The ideal is to be open to the problems of others and thus rip out the silkworm cocoon of our selfishness and, in doing so let it become a beautiful butterfly. Indeed, God’s people teach us, among other things, to care for the sick and to forgive.
