| Summary: | Este artigo apresenta uma retrospectiva histórica dos episódios que, noperíodo de 1885 a 1973, tentaram afastar o Mackenzie da esfera de in-fluência da Igreja Presbiteriana do Brasil. A demarcação temporal corres-ponde, respectivamente, à posse de Horace M. Lane na direção da Escola Americana, em São Paulo, e à vitória definitiva da Igreja Presbiteriana doBrasil, no Poder Judiciário, quando lhe foram restituídos os direitos exclu-sivos de direção e propriedade do Mackenzie. This article presents a historical retrospective of the episodes that, from1885 to 1973, tried to exclude Mackenzie from the Presbyterian Churchof Brazil sphere of influence. The period corresponds, respectively, to thetaking office of Horace M. Lane as director of the American School, inSão Paulo, and to the final victory of the Presbyterian Church of Brazil at the Judiciary, when the exclusive rights of leading Mackenzie and itsproperty were returned to the Church. |
