| Summary: | Este artigo propõe-se analisar alguns aspectos da ação integral da Igreja na urbanidade. Partindo de alguns conceitos de teóricos no campo da sociologia e da teologia, discutem-se as caracteristicas e os problemas do homem urbano, e analisam-se três modelos de ser igreja na sociedade con-temporânea. As perguntas centrais que justificam este artigo são: Em que medida o evangelicalismo pode contribuir para melhorar a sociedade con-temporânea? Ou, qual pode ser o papel da Igreja numa sociedade diante dos desafios sociais que ela enfrenta? A partir dessa perspectiva, propõe-se um modelo bíblico de ser igreja na cidade, que, em ação, testemunha sua dupla cidadania. In this article, Reis proposes to analyze some aspects in the entire action of the Church in the urban area. Starting from some theoretical concepts in the field of Sociology and Teology, the author discusses the characteris-tics and problems of the urban man and analyzes the three models of the Church in the contemporary society. The main questions which justify this article are: Up to what point evangelicalismo can contribute to turn the contemporary society better? Or, which can be the role of church in society in relation to the social challenges that it faces? From this perspec-tive, Reis proposes a biblical model of what Church is in the city, actuating witnesses its double citizenship. |
