Summary: | The exhortation Gaudete et Exsultate of Pope Francis relies theologically on the affirmation of Ephesians 1:4: God chose believers in Christ “so that we would be holy and blameless before him through love”. The essay studies this statement from the rhetorical point of view of its composition and from the semantic value of its terms. |
