The Easter sermons of the Cistercian monk Leodegar von Altzelle (†1234) provide us with a valuable testimony into how the penitential liturgy was both handed down and lived out, surviving as such until the 13th century. Today, an awareness of sins, an attitude of penance and the ecclesiastical ministry of reconciliation can and must likewise be passed on and brought into a new relationship for the future of pastoral care. | ||
