| Summary: | Christ deserves a central place in Christian life and doctrine. The purpose of this text is to unpack the different dimensions of this centrality in order to provide an adequate framework for understanding it. First, Christ's place in God's plan for creation is considered. Then the role of Christ in the journey of creation towards its ultimate destiny is analysed. Finally, attention is directed to the personal and existential dimensions of this centrality: the fundamental aspects of Christ's presence in the life of the faithful. Cristo ocupa un lugar central en la vida y en la doctrina cristiana. Objeto de este texto es desglosar las diferentes dimensiones de esa centralidad, en modo de ofrecer un marco adecuado para entenderla. Para ello se considera primero el lugar que ocupa Cristo en el plan de Dios sobre la creación, se analiza después su rol en el camino que conduce la creación hacia su destino final, y, por último, se presta atención a la dimensión personal y existencial de esa centralidad: los aspectos fundamentales de la presencia de Cristo en la vida del cristiano. |
