| Summary: | The point of departure for this article is the extreme increase in anti-Semitic statements on the internet and thus in the lifeworld of young people. The basic thesis is that religious education can make an important contribution to preventing and criticizing anti-Semitic attitudes. To this end, reflection upon the theological roots of hostility towards Jews in the Christian tradition is offered. The doctrine of substitution, according to which Judaism has been replaced by Christianity, is marked as the central point of theological anti-Judaism. This is highly relevant for religious education. The results of an empirical study on Holocaust remembrance in religious education confirm the urgency of the issue of preventing anti-Semitism through religious education. Finally, I present some forms of didactic possibilities for the realization of a religious education which is critical towards anti-Semitism. Der Beitrag geht aus von der extremen Zunahme antisemitischer Äußerungen im Internet und damit in der Lebenswelt junger Menschen. Die Grundthese ist, dass religiöse Bildung einen wichtigen Beitrag zur Prävention und Kritik judenfeindlicher Haltungen leisten kann. Dazu werden die theologischen Wurzeln der Judenfeindschaft in der christlichen Tradition reflektiert. Die Substitutionslehre, wonach das Judentum durch das Christentum abgelöst sei, wird als Zentralpunkt theologischen Antijudaismus gekennzeichnet. Dies ist für religiöse Bildung höchst relevant. Ergebnisse einer empirischen Studie zur Erinnerung an den Holocaust im Religionsunterricht bestätigen die Dringlichkeit des Themas Antisemitismus in religiöser Bildung. Abschließend werden einige religionsdidaktischen Realisierungsformen aufgezeigt, die antisemitismuskritische religiöse Bildung ermöglichen. |
