Riepilogo:The bicentenary of the birth of Fyodor Michajlovič Dostoevsky (1821-81) is also an important date for theology. His experience of violence and death and epilepsy meant that the Russian writer felt very deeply about what was happening in politics, social life, and the Church; and posed the question of God in a very radical way. In particular, The Idiot shows us that, according to Dostoevsky, it is only from the frontiers, from the Russian experience, that an answer to this question can be found.
