Summary:Comparative Law of Religions is still an emerging discipline, which is particularly firmly established in Italy. Meanwhile, however, interesting approaches exist in Germany and Austria as weil, which deserve closer consideration. The first part of this contribution shall analyse how this discipline appears and develops in the academic structures of Germany and Austria - especially in research and teaching. The second part will focus on the methodical principles of this emerging discipline by comparing German and Italian approaches
