Summary:The canons 1259 to 1272 of the Code of Canon Law dealing with the rules governing the acquisition of church property, for which this study focuses. In ist development we talk about the various ways of acquiring property by the Church, on the duty of the faithful to help in their needs so that it can fulfill ist own purposes, and grants to be asked. It also covers taxes, fees, oblations and solicitations. Finally it expounds on prescription in ist economic aspects, the acquisition of sacred things in this way, on the assets, rights and actions pertaining to the Apostolic See, on the principle of communion, and the benefits themselves.
