| Summary: | A question has arisen over the finance council in a parish here in our diocese. Currently there is no pastor. The previous pastor has retired and a replacement has yet to be named by the bishop. We realize the finance council cannot function without the presence of the pastor. Our question is whether the finance council in fact has ceased to exist. When a new pastor is appointed, does the current finance council resume in office, or is the new pastor free to appoint new members instead? |
