Grundlegende Mittel, die zur Heiligung führen, sind Sakramente. Daher sollen alle Gläubigen, die von Gott den Auftrag zur Heiligung erhalten haben, alle Möglichkeiten und Mittel nutzen, die die Kirche als ihr geistiges Gut ihnen zur Verfügung stellt. Die Ausübung des sakramentalen Dienstes wurde in can. 213 CIC/1983 festgelegt, wo es heißt, dass die Gläubigen das Recht haben, "aus den geistlichen Gütern der Hirten zu empfangen". Im Artikel werden der Wirkungsbereich dieses Rechts abgesteckt sowie die Bedingungen der Spendung und Erhaltung des jeweiligen Sakramentes, und zwar die Bedingungen, unter welchen der Gläubige als das zum Empfangen der Sakramente berechtigte Subjekt vom sakramentalen Dienst Gebrauch machen darf, sowie die Befugnisse des Spenders erläutert. Darüber hinaus wurde hier auch auf die übernatürlichen Wirkungen der Sakramente hingewiesen, weil die Gläubigen nur dank der sakramentalen Gnade den höheren Grad der Heiligung erreichen und zur Fülle Christi heranwachsen können | ||
