Description
Summary:Art therapy and the expressive arts offer opportunities for dying and bereaved people to discover hidden resources and strengthen their creative capacity at a time when physical and emotional resources are at a very low ebb. Caregivers of the dying and bereaved can also benefit from an expressive arts approach in education, training and supervision. Creative transformation of difficult life experiences through art-making, music, narrative and poetry can promote healing and spiritual growth. Expressive arts methods can be used effectively with both groups and individuals.
