Σύνοψη:Pope Francis’ encyclical Fratelli tutti presents several parallels with the African theory defined Ubuntu. This theory is based on three principles: 1) humanity is essentially constituted to coexist in a cosmological friendship; 2) the fundamental values of humanity can only be realised through the recognition of the original human nature of the other person; 3) humanity is designed to cherish and to implement the common good that unites it. Fratelli tutti and Ubuntu contain a similar call for global friendship, solidarity and interdependence for a more sustainable society.
