Description
Summary:On his journey to the east, after Korea (2014), Sri Lanka and the Philippines (2015), Francis went to Myanmar and Bangladesh, with «doors of the heart» open to China. A difficult journey, balanced between evangelical prophecy and diplomacy, which showed the «field hospital» face of the Church, aware of the open wounds and of the work needed for their recovery. Regardless of media pressure, Francis sort to foster dialogue between ethnic groups and religions, seeking constructive solutions to the crises, such as that of the Rohingya’s. And he did it all together with small but very much alive Churches, such as those in Myanmar and Bangladesh. In fact, Francis is convinced that today they have something important to teach the universal Church.
