Summary:Twenty-five years from the calling and twenty-one years from the conclusion of the Third Diocesan Synod of San Cristóbal de Las Casas, the article presents some features of the Church experience of synodality in a native Church in a Mayan context that made the option for the poor and for the native peoples of Chiapas its banner in the midst of an armed conflict with the aim of pastoral discernment in order to build justice and peace as signs of the Kingdom of God.
