Summary: | The purpose of this introductory part is to provide an overview of recent scholarship on theological engagement with the phenomenon of human migration. I categorize the recent theological works on migration into two groups: a more systemic-constructive theological exploration and a more narrative-critical biblical reflection. Although there have been increasing volumes on the narrative-critical biblical reflection on migration, a more systemic-constructive theological study has been relatively insufficient. Thus, as a preparatory step toward the systemic-constructive development of a Trinitarian theology of migration, I initiate a critical dialogue with key theologians who have made visible contributions to the field. |
