Description
Summary:With her novel, L’architettrice (The Architect), the Roman writer, Melania Mazzucco, has composed a complex fresco of Baroque Rome in which unfolds the life of Plautilla, daughter of Giovanni Briccio, painter, man of letters, playwright and musician, but of plebeian origin. Even Plautilla, who challenged the prejudices of a society that did not want to admit changes, chose an artistic career, as a painter and an architect. As a woman, this path was even more difficult.
