Description
Summary:Despite its tradition and the fact that reconciliation as a process has shown to be effective in reality, reconciliation studies had a long way to go until they discovered refugees. This development has many reasons. One is the ongoing debate on how to define and identify reconciliation in the ‘real world’ in an evident and, if possible, measurable way. This paper aims to show the actual relevance of reconciliation studies, if adequately performed through a multidisciplinary approach, in the process of conflict resolution, both at the individual and at the community level. Through the description of the psychotherapeutically work on the case of a PTSD diagnosed refugee, we claim that reconciliation with the self could be reached through different disciplines. Reconciliation is a tool, a technology, and at same time an aim for conflict resolution and for people in need.
