| Summary: | The year 2020 marks the 90th anniversary of the start of St. Maximilian Kolbe's mission in Japan. This contribution highlights the stages and characteristics of the saint's apostolic itinerary in Japan, taking into consideration the letters written to his provincial superiors and to the ministers general. With these communicators, he plans and carries out every missionary activity. Commencing with these letters of the Martyr of Charity it will be possible here to consider and understand the foundations and evolution of his "Japanese" apostolate Nell'anno 2020 ricorre il novantesimo anniversario dell'inizio della missione di san Massimiliano Kolbe in Giappone. Questo contributo evidenzia le tappe e le caratteristiche dell'itinerario apostolico del santo in terra nipponica, prendendo in considerazione le lettere che egli scrive ai suoi superiori provinciali e ai ministri generali. Con questi interlocutori pianifica ed attua ogni attività missionaria.
