| Resumo: | La teología de Ilia Delio se acerca valientemente hasta las últimas fronteras de la ciencia y la tecnología en nuestro mundo del siglo XXI. Estas fronteras incluyen de modo especial a la mecánica cuántica y al cíborg, y muy cerca de ellas también a la inteligencia artificial y al transhumanismo. Ella insiste en la necesidad de superar lo que denomina el complejo helénico, el marco de comprensión de una metafísica y una cosmología pertenecientes a otra época que no pueden ya por más tiempo servir a la transmisión de la fe. Delio se define a sí misma como una cristiana cíborg y trabaja en una teología nueva para un tiempo nuevo, aunque algunas de sus conclusiones puedan ser rechazadas, su impulso es importante para desarrollar una teología que realmente sea significativa en nuestro mundo. Ilia Delio’s theology boldly goes to the last frontiers of science and technology in our world of 21st Century. These frontiers include in a special way quantum mechanics and cyborg, and very close to them artificial intelligence and transhumanism as well. She insists in the necessity of overcoming what she calls the Hellenic complex, the framework of a metaphysics and a cosmology belonging to another era that can no longer supports the transmission of faith. Delio defines herself as a Christian cyborg and works in a new theology for a new age, although some of her conclusions may be rejected, her impulse is important for developing a theology that really counts in our world. |
