Description
Summary:A recent film by the debutant director Gianni Aureli is dedicated to a little-known but very significant story from the 1930s and 1940s. The film tells the story of a group of scouts from Milan which resisted the Fascist order to dissolve the Italian scouting associations, and took the name «Aquile Randagie» (Stray Eagles) and continued its activities. The commitment became increasingly risky and after 1943 the group was actively involved in the clandestine work of OSCAR, for the assistance and rescue of numerous fugitives, former prisoners, Jews, and deserters. Significant important facts and figures for the history of Italian scouting and the Resistance have emerged.
