Description
Summary:On September 15, 2020, U.S. President Donald Trump welcomed his guests from Israel, the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain and together they signed a series of documents, which collectively are called the «Abraham Agreements». Although the importance of the meetings between Muslim Arabs and Israeli Jews has captured the media’s attention, the question is: what is really at stake when agreements and alliances change in the Middle East? Can these agreements lead to the much-desired peace? A note of caution must be expressed, and that is by setting aside one of the central issues in the Middle East – the Israeli-Palestinian conflict – lasting peace or prosperity to the region cannot be brought about.
