| Summary: | El presente trabajo aborda un tema aun en controversia, a saber, la incidencia y el alcance del apofatismo en el pensamiento de Agustín de Hipona. Puntualmente, se investiga el problema partiendo de un hecho célebre y constatado: la lectura agustiniana de los “libros platónicos” traducidos por Mario Victorino y las obras propias de este último, en especial, el Adversus Arium. Así, después de pasar lista a una extensa bibliografía sobre este punto, que abarca los nombres de distinguidos investigadores como Lossky, Henry, Clarck, García Bazán, Gilson y Carabine, entre otros, se abordan en apartados paralelos “Inefabilidad e incomprehensibilidad divinas en Agustín” y “La teología negativa de Mario Victorino” - los pasajes más atinentesal tema de las obras de Agustín y el Victorino, a las que se compara con algunos textos del pseudo Dionisio y Aristóteles This paper addresses an issue still in controversy, namely, the incidence and scope of apophatism in Augustine of Hippo's thinking. Promptly the problem is investigated on the basis of a famous and verified fact: the Augustinian reading of the "Platonic books" translated by Marius Victorinus and the latter's own works, especially Adversus Arium. Thus, after going on the list to an extensive bibliography on this point, which includes the names of distinguished researchers such as Lossky, Henry, Clarck, García Bazán,Gilson and Carabine, among others, in parallel sections - “Inefability and incomprehensibility divine in Augustine ”and“ The negative theology of Marius Victorinus” - are studied the most important passages for the topic of the works of Augustine and Victorinus, which are compared with some texts of the Pseudos Dionisius and Aristotle. |
