Summary: | Based on interviews with five gospel rappers, this article aims to reconstruct the origins of holy hiphop in the Lisbon’s suburbs. It carries out an analysis of a prosopographic type seeking to fit these itineraries in the panorama of current Portuguese evangelical Christianity. It explores some elements of the interview content, of visual construction of the rappers, of their nicknames and their musical production, pondering topics such as their relationship with their churches or its inscription in suburban culture. |
