Summary:Communicative theological research is characterized by attention to everyday processes of interaction and communication. The focus of this article is an example of communicative-theological research practice. Using this example it should be demonstrated how an at first glance theologically distant object of research (in this particular case the first few minutes of a lesson) becomes the starting point for a theological process of understanding which places the question of the Kairos at the beginning of a lesson at the centre.
