Summary: | The paper deals with teaching and learning in “Bibelkunde”, which means in the German theological studies the teaching of basic knowledge about the contents and structures of the biblical books with respect to chapter and verses. The author gives an overview over current teaching instructions of German Universities (module descriptions, examination regulations) and presents the results of a qualitative interview of students and alumni. The paper states that teaching the Bible as part of an academic training in Theology necessarily has to address basic results of the critical research in the Bible. |
