| Summary: | In this Editorial, we articulate the ideia that the “reformation” of the Christian Church, in Martin Luther’s original understanding of it, is a work of God alone. We emphasize that, in the intention of the Reformator, the task of the Christian community is the effort for “improvements”. The division of the one and holy Church was not at all the purpose of the Lutheran Reformation. We suggest that “reintegration” to the one and true Catholic Church can only be a work of God as well. The view of Luther as a heretic and an excommunicated seems to be outdated. |
