Sumario:In the Orthodox tradition, the biblical prophets are without exception recognized as saints, and there is also a particular date of commemoration designated for every one of them. For the prophet Jonah that date is September 22. However, according to the limited evidence provided by the liturgical texts and prayers dedicated to the Prophet there is no complete liturgical office (“akolouthia”) for him.
