Summary:358 GOTR 62:3-4 2017 Encyclical of Archbishop Demetrios for the Nativity of Christ 2017 December 25, 2017 To the Most Reverend Hierarchs, the Reverend Priests and Deacons, the Monks and Nuns, the Presidents and Members of the Parish Councils of the Greek Orthodox Communities, the Distinguished Archons of the Ecumenical Patriarchate, the Day, Afternoon, and Church Schools, the Philoptochos Sisterhoods, the Youth, the Hellenic Organizations, and the entire Greek Orthodox Family in America Beloved Brothers and Sisters in Christ, We glorify Christ on this blessed and glorious Feast for having come to us and for revealing the abundant and redeeming grace of God. (Matthew 4:16) Today, the Son of God, as Radiance sent by the Father, has come and illuminated all of Creation. As His glorious light shines in and through us, we witness to the world that Christ brings light in the darkness.
