| Summary: | Este artigo tem por objetivo trazer reflexões sobre o significado do Sínodo daAmazônia para os povos indígenas. Buscou-se analisar do ponto de vista deum indígena e militante a favor da causa indígena em um dos estados quecompõem a Amazônia Brasileira, qual foi o impacto e a mensagem antes, du-rante e depois da realização do evento. Abordamos também os principais de-safios e as ameaças enfrentados pelos povos originários da Amazônia. E co-mo o modelo de desenvolvimento tem afetado o modo de vida e os direitos in-dígenas. No mais, destacou-se a relação dos índios com a natureza, os impac-tos causados pelos constantes invasões e ataques aos territórios indígenas.Por fim, observamos os novos caminhos traçados pela igreja na defesa dos di-reitos indígenas, em busca de uma ecologia integral e igreja interculturada. Emespecial o respeito da igreja em relação ao diferente, a cultura e a cosmovisãodos povos originários que habitam o mundo amazônico. This article aims to bring reflections on the significance of the Synod of Amazonfor the indigenous peoples. We sought to analyze the impact and the messagebefore, during and after the event from the point of view of an indigenous andmilitant in favor of the indigenous cause in one of the States that compose theBrazilian Amazon. We also address the main challenges and threats faced bythe native peoples of the Amazon and how the development model has affect-ed the way of life and indigenous rights. In addition, the study highlights the re-lationship of indigenous people with nature, as well as the impacts of the con-stant invasions and attacks on indigenous territories. Finally, we observe thenew paths mapped out by the church in defense of indigenous people’s rights,in search of an integral ecology and intercultural church, in particular, the re-spect of the church towards what is different, the culture and the cosmovisionof the original peoples that inhabit the Amazonian world |
