Talk of judgment may sound foreboding, but properly understood, it may be what the Exodus reading depicts. Current events involving multiple mass shootings in schools, churches, and public spaces may be indicative of the judgment of God on succeeding, innocent generations for the sins of our ancestors, who made the gun into an idol. |
