Elle revient également sur l’étrange récit qui a conservé jusqu’à nos jours, dans la tradition populaire, le souvenir de deux aqueducs qui auraient cherché à alimenter Apamée. Le tracé du premier, au départ de Salamiye, avait été suivi par K. Chéhadé. Une découverte récente vient de signaler un élément du second, à proximité de Massyaf et du village de Djelmidoun dont le nom est précisément mentionné par ce récit populaire. La datation obtenue par une analyse poussée des sédiments de ce second aqueduc et des paléorestes recueillis dans les différentes couches archéologiques repérées sous et autour de la conduite en fixe la construction dans une fourchette comprise entre 30 et 70 n. è. — ce qui correspond à l’époque de Claude ou de Néron. Or, c’est aux travaux d’adduction d’eau menés par Claude que renvoie aussi une inscription d’Apamée attribuable au castellum aquae du premier aqueduc. | ||
| 520 | |a The present paper is mainly devoted to the roads of the Middle Orontes which connected Apamea with, on the one hand, the sea-coast via Raphaneia —stationing of one of the four legions of Syria— and, on the other hand, with Emesa, and then Damascus or Baalbek. It also harks back to the strange narrative which has conserved, until now, in the popular tradition, the memory of two aqueducts which should have tried to supply Apamea. A survey of the first one had been done, starting from Salamiye, by K. Chehade. A recent discovery has brought to light an element of the second one, near Massyaf and the village of Djelmidun, the name of which is precisely mentionned in the popular narrative. The date obtained by an analysis of the sediments of this second aqueduct and of the palaeoremains collected in the archaeological stratas under and around the canal suggests a construction between 30 and 70 ad —which is the period of Claudius and Nero. Now it is also to the water supply of the city by Claudius that relates an inscription of Apamea pertaining to the castellum aquae of the first aqueduct. | ||
| 520 | |a تهتم هذه المقالة بشكل رئيس بالطرق في حوض العاصي الأوسط والتي ربطت مدينة أفاميا مع الساحل من جهة، عن طريق الرفنية – مكان تمركز أحد فيالق سوريا الأربعة– ومن جهة أخرى مع حمص ومنها مع دمشق وبعلبك. وتعود المقالة بنا إلى حكاية غريبة تحتفظ حتى الوقت الحاضر، في التراث الشعبي، بذكرى قناتين كانتا تسعيان لتزويد أفاميا بالمياه. بالنسبة للقناة الأولى، فقد تتبع مسارها كامل شحادة حتى مدينة سلمية حيث تبدأ. أما القناة الثانية فقد أشير إليها إثر اكتشاف حديث قرب مدينة مصياف وقرية جلمدون، المذكور اسمها بدقة في ذات الحكاية. إن التأريخ الذي حصلنا عليه بفضل تحليل تفصيلي لرواسب القناة الثانية وللبقايا العضوية القديمة، التي تم جمعها من طبقات أثرية مختلفة اكتشفت أسفل وحول مجرى القناة، يثبت تاريخ بناء القناة في الفترة المحصورة بين عامي 30 و70 م -وهي تتطابق مع عصر كلود ونيرون. في حين أن النقش المتعلق بصرح خزان المياه الخاص بالقناة الأولى يتحدث عن أعمال جر المياه التي قام بها كلود. | ||
