| Summary: | Catechesis is an instrument of education to the faith that has the objective of guiding the believer to know Jesus Christ, to be in contact with him and to understand man in the light of his mystery. The Church has the task of guiding and directing the gaze of man, his conscience and his experience towards the mystery of Christ. The Christian, through catechesis, can reach full Christian maturity. In the catechesis of John Paul II we can trace three dimensions: man, Christ and the Church, which form the foundation of all his teaching and can become the operative track for a pastoral-catechetical programme, founded on the law of fidelity to God and to all humans, without neglecting the relationship with the world. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] La catechesi è uno strumento di educazione alla fede che ha come obiettivo quello di guidare il credente a conoscere Gesù Cristo ad essere in contatto con lui e a comprendere l'uomo alla luce del suo mistero. La Chiesa ha il compito di guidare e indirizzare lo sguardo dell'uomo, la sua coscienza e la sua esperienza verso il mistero di Cristo. Il cristiano, attraverso la catechesi, può raggiungere la piena maturità cristiana. Nelle catechesi di Giovanni Paolo II possiamo rintracciare tre dimensioni: l'uomo, Cristo e la Chiesa, che costituiscono il fondamento di ogni suo insegnamento e possono diventare la traccia operativa per un itinerario pastorale-catechetico, fondato sulla legge di fedeltà a Dio e all'uomo, senza tralasciare la relazione con il mondo.
