Summary:In this work, the author analyzes the concept of ‘radical evil’ proposed by Kant in Religion within the Limits of Reason and compares it with the theological concept of ‘original sin’, stressing Luther's statements in the Heidelberg Disputation . The central thesis of the work is that under the opposed conceptions of Kant and Luther in relation to the original sin and salvation lies a common concern of existential nature about the destiny of mankind.
