| Resumo: | This article deals with the ways of achieving a new orthodox female spiritual authority in the last quarter of the fifteenth century. The hieronymite María de Ajofrín (?-1489) gained respect as a charismatic woman through some set relationships with the following items: 1) with Catherine of Siena’s model, as well with other female saints; 2) with food and Eucharist; 3) with the Catholic Kings’ court; 4) with the Inquisition and other ecclesiastical authorities; 5) with books; 6) with visual arts; and 7) with the mise-en-scène of words and silence. En este artículo se abordará cómo la beata jerónima María de Ajofrín (?-1489) encabeza la emergencia de una nueva autoridad espiritual femenina ortodoxa en el último tercio del siglo XV a través de sus carismas y de su relación con los siguientes ámbitos: 1) con el modelo de Catalina de Siena y, secundariamente, de otras santas; 2) con la comida y la eucaristía; 3) con la corte de los Reyes Católicos; 4) con la Inquisición y las autoridades eclesiásticas; 5) con el libro; 6) con el arte; y 7) con la puesta en escena de la palabra y el silencio. |
