Description
Summary:This collection of essays from various theological disciplines examines the Protestant principle of sola scriptura, that is the emphasis on the priority and importance of Scripture in theology and Church. The authors address sola scriptura from systematic-theological, biblical, historical and practical-theological perspectives. They question some common conceptions of the principle, for instance that it implies that the Reformers competely negated tradition, and they offer important and inspiring reflections on the interaction between exegesis and dogmatics.
