| Summary: | In 2017, a joint mission of the University of Tübingen and the Directorate of Antiquities at Duhok resumed fieldwork at Muqable III located in the Duhok province of Iraq-Kurdistan. The excavation exposed large areas of the architectural horizon of the Middle Assyrian period. This includes parts of two buildings one of which contained a rich inventory of finds with pottery, fragments of cuneiform tablets and other objects. Die Feldarbeiten in Muqable III in der Provinz Dohuk in Irak-Kurdistan wurden 2017 durch eine gemeinsame Mission der Universität Tübingen und der Antikendirektion Dohuk fortgesetzt. Bei den Ausgrabungen wurde der Architekturhorizont der Mittelassyrischen Zeit auf großer Fläche freigelegt. Dieser umfasst Teile zweier Gebäude, von denen eines ein reiches Fundinventar mit Keramik, Tontafelfragmenten und weiteren Objekten beinhaltete. |
