Summary: | The author in this text presents the latest book by the theologian Alessandro Clemenzia, which deals with a topic rarely used in ecclesiology: the question of the epistemological status. The Church is born of a communication of faith that is the basis of the announcement, the latter is read in the light of a phenomenology of the gift. The being of the person, like that of the Son of God, "happens", that is, gives itself, as a gift. The hermeneutical key to the being of the Church is, therefore, the donation: this giving of oneself in love is constitutionally open to total self-giving to the other and to mutual communion.
